About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Financial Controller to drive all aspects of financial management in a fast-growing, Gen AI Tech company. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, with a proven track record in developing robust internal controls and managing financial risks in a high-growth environment. You will play a key role in ensuring financial stability and supporting strategic decision-making as the company scales internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all accounting tasks across multiple legal entities, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of all regulatory reporting, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards and tax laws.
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial information.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Proactively manage financial risks and ensure effective controls are in place to protect the company’s financial health.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and adherence to statutory reporting requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical accounting issues, staying up to date with regulatory changes.
  • Take ownership of additional controller duties as needed, such as managing transfer pricing and intercompany accounting.

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role, ideally within high-growth or dynamic environments.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, standards (GAAP/IFRS), and best practices. Demonstrated success in preparing and analyzing financial statements and managing full-cycle accounting processes.
  • Proficient in accounting software, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools, with experience in system administration and process automation.
  • Strong experience in process design and optimization, including building scalable financial processes that support rapid growth.
  • Excellent financial analysis, forecasting, and decision-support skills. Ability to assess complex financial data and translate it into strategic recommendations.

We're Looking For Someone With:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, master's in accounting) is preferred.
  • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred.
  • Strong team player with proven ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Prior experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment is highly desirable. Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Full professional proficiency in German and English.
  • Valid work permit for Switzerland or EU citizens.
